Black Friday

A newish concept to us Northerners, Black Friday is the biggest shopping day leading up to Christmas in the States, celebrated on the Friday of their Thanksgiving. It's the day that retailers offer huge discounts and super extended hours, typically culminating in tent cities and mob mentality.
Rather than risk a trampling, we plan on keeping it seriously classy at Plush this Black Friday - from 10 am - 8 pm, cash in on door crashers and 10% off (in honor of our 10th anniversay this month!) absolutely ANYTHING BLACK in the ENTIRE STORE!
Friday is your opportunity to pick up that perfect l.b.d. for upcoming holiday parties, an all black suit to rival Daniel Craig, beautiful black boots from Save Our Soles or maybe a thick peacoat for nights out on the town?
It's your choice, don't miss out!

The Scoop at Free People
Rarely do we get to feast our hungry eyes on limited edition anything before it hits, but here is a delicious sneak peek behind the scenes at Free People.
It's so cool to get to hear what the designer had in mind when she carefully crafted her dream dress. My personal fave is the ballet inspired dress - those tiny bells and ruffled skirt are just begging me to hit the dance floor! The perfect pick for holiday parties.
Even more interesting is how Free People is delving into coordinates (the second dress shown can be worn together or separately - the corset would be smashing with a bomber jacket and bright-ass lipstick, the skirt layered to the teeth with tall riding boots), which is hilariously reminiscent of my grade three teacher but obviously much....MUCH, cooler :)
Being a junk-store junkie and history nerd, I can't help but agree with Highsnobette in that I'd love to hear more about the origins of their textiles and patterns... Maybe next time we'll get a tutorial on the where's and how's of sourcing those beautiful fabrics.
