mixing prints, patterns and textures is really huge this season. it certainly can be fun to play around with combining prints to create new looks, in ways you never imagined would work. while some would argue mixed prints are a faux-pas, here are some examples of how to pull them off.

One piece, three ways.

While cropped tops are a seemingly daunting trend to incorporate to your wardrobe, here are three easy ways to reintroduce the look.

left:

If you are feeling especially bold and are comfortable with flashing a bit of skin (tastefully, of course) you might want to try a cropped top with a pair of high waisted pants. Here we pair the tee with high waisted Seven skinny jeans.

middle:

Layering is one way to comfortably wear a cropped top. A fitted tank dress contrasts the proportions of a boxy cropped shirt. Here we feature Lola's Room lace tights and a Lola's Room tunic camisole.

right:
